Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026.

The Churn (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a browser game operated by TR Studios. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else touches it. We keep it to the minimum the game needs to run.

What we collect

  • Your email address — to sign you in (a one-time code, a magic link, or Google sign-in) and to send you sign-in messages. It identifies your account.
  • Google account basics — if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile info to create or match your account. We don’t access anything else in your Google account.
  • Your game data — your characters, their state, your orders, your friends list, and gameplay history. This is the game.
  • Technical data — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and your IP address (briefly, to prevent abuse and rate-limit sign-in requests).
  • Payment data (when premium is live) — handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details.

How we use it

To run the game, sign you in, send sign-in and account email, prevent abuse, and — if you choose to subscribe or buy — process payment. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us operate:

  • Google — only if you choose Google sign-in, to verify your email.
  • Zoho ZeptoMail — to deliver sign-in and account email.
  • Stripe — to process payments (when premium is live).
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and privacy-respecting traffic analytics.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own terms and privacy commitments.

Cookies

We use one essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to export or delete your account and game data by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your characters and personal data, except anything we must keep for legal or anti-fraud reasons.

Children

The Churn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the date above when we do.
