The game

The Churn is free to play. It is a survival game with permanent death: characters can be injured, captured, enslaved, or killed, and death is final — that is the point, and it is not a defect. Some features may be offered as paid upgrades.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping access to your email (and Google account, if linked) secure, and for activity under your account. One account per person. Don’t impersonate others or share accounts to abuse the game.

Fair play

• No cheating — no automation, bots, scripts, or exploiting bugs to gain an advantage.
• No abuse — don’t harass other players, or submit illegal, hateful, or infringing content.
• No disruption — don’t attack, overload, or probe the service.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Purchases

Paid upgrades (such as signal or a Patron subscription) grant access and cosmetic benefits within the game only. They have no real-world or monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and never buy a change to how the world judges your character. Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing and what each tier includes.

Availability and “as is”

The game is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and we aren’t liable for lost game progress, characters, or data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months (which may be nothing).

Changes

We may update these terms; continued play after a change means you accept it. We’ll update the date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
